This past month, IYT at Foothill High was a profound mix of honoring legacies and launching futures. We celebrated our graduating Class of 2025 in a powerful ceremony and recognized the dedicated academic achievements of several brothers who made commendable progress this year. To prepare all our young men for the road ahead, our "Rags to Riches" workshop provided essential financial skills, thoughtfully connecting smart budgeting with the necessity of self-care. And perfectly embodying the supportive heart of our community, Javis Jenkins was honored as Brother of the Month for his consistent, positive leadership, capping off a month that truly captured the spirit of IYT.
Honoring a Legacy, Launching a Future
IYT brothers gather in front of families for a final group photo.
We wrapped up the school year with a powerful celebration honoring our graduating IYT Brothers from Foothill High School! It was a day filled with pride, purpose, and unforgettable memories as we came together in fellowship with their families, friends, and IYT staff to recognize the incredible journey of our seniors.
Each graduate was honored for their growth, leadership, and commitment to excellence. We laughed, we reflected, and most importantly, we celebrated every step it took to get to this moment. From heartfelt stories to big hugs and good vibes, this event was all about honoring legacy and launching futures.
We’re beyond proud of the Class of 2025; your next chapter is just beginning, and the best is yet to come!

Workshop Spotlight
This month, our IYT Brothers tapped into their financial wisdom with the Rags to Riches workshop, an engaging and eye-opening session focused on the 50/30/20 rule for money management. Brothers imagined life after graduation with a full-time job and learned how to break down their monthly income into needs (50%), wants (30%), and savings (20%).
After learning the rule, they dove into real-life scenarios where they had to budget for self-care activities, everything from new sneakers to therapy sessions and gym memberships. This wasn’t just about numbers—it was about making smart choices, honoring personal values, and learning the discipline of long-term planning.
Benefits of the Workshop:
Built confidence in financial decision-making
Connected self-care to budgeting, showing how both go hand-in-hand
Encouraged thoughtful reflection on wants vs. needs
Fostered a sense of brotherhood as students shared what wellness looks like to them
One brother shared that budgeting for a massage “wasn’t just about relaxing; it was about reminding myself that I deserve to feel good and take care of myself.” This workshop helped plant the seed of financial wellness while reinforcing that taking care of yourself is not a luxury; it’s a necessity.
