This past month, our workshops at Monterey Trail High School focused on the theme of career readiness. offering the brothers valuable opportunities to prepare for their futures. 

One highlight was a debate, where the brothers sharpened their critical thinking, communication, and public speaking skills—tools essential in any career. Additionally, they worked on creating personalized wellness routines, understanding the importance of mental and physical health in maintaining long-term success. Brothers also walked through the process of buying a car, an essential life skill that teaches financial literacy and decision-making.

These workshops are crucial for the career readiness of these young men, as they provide practical skills and knowledge that will help them navigate both college and professional environments. By focusing on areas like communication, financial literacy, and self-care, we are equipping them with the tools to thrive academically, personally, and professionally. With our programming, it supports their journey by reinforcing the value of preparedness and intentionality, giving brothers a strong foundation as they enter the workforce or higher education.

Devin

This month, we proudly shine a spotlight on Devin, our exceptional Brother of the Month! Devin's commitment to his academic growth is evident in his almost daily presence at study hall. But Devin doesn't just show up – he leads by example with his remarkable enthusiasm. He is consistently the first to volunteer, eagerly raising his hand to dive into our brotherhood rituals and workshops, a proactive spirit that encourages everyone around him.

Beyond his active participation, Devin consistently infuses our IYT space with a powerful, positive energy that uplifts the entire group and brightens the atmosphere. Devin, your steadfast dedication, your readiness to lead through participation, and your infectious positive spirit make you an outstanding role model and a cherished member of our brotherhood. Congratulations on this thoroughly deserved honor!
